The End of Year 2006

Daily Ramblings December 31st, 2006 @ 2240h

In a few hours’ time it’s going to be year 2007. The year of A-levels. The last year before National Service.

This year’s been great. Had lots of improvements physically, emotionally, and on coding. I’d like to thank Mr Ho in particular for helping me out a lot this year.

With this, happy new year! I’m too lazy to type something longer.

Singapore Internet Access Back to Normal?

Daily Ramblings December 31st, 2006 @ 0233h

IDA claims that internet access in Singapore is largely back to normal.

True, for general HTTP surfing, I’ve not had much problems. But the story is different with FTP. FTP access to all the dreamhosts servers are still crawling slow. I swore I could have pulled off all my hair waiting for the transfer to complete.

For those of you wondering how the submarine fibres in Asia are linked, this is an interesting read.

Summary post on 2006 (warning, a long post is expected) to be written shortly.
